Finally, Results

I'm finally getting some real result from submitting tons of pages to the 4 main search engines for the EP Saddlery site. Here are all the pages that have been indexed on Google:

There are a lot more that have ranked 1st, 2nd, 3rd page of course but this is one of the more generic and generalized. Yeh.

Analyzing Google

Huh, I typed in my name into google and the first thing that comes up now is my blog for EP Saddlery to create friendly links. It used to be my myspace page, but about two weeks ago I turned all text and backgrounds to white, and then changed the opacity of the images to .01 in order to create a blank page. Now the page is nowhere to be found, hmm. I'm guessing google uses an indexer that some how only reads visible text in order to avoid spamming. Now I know what not to do, but what about my website. I submitted the URL to various search engines about 3 weeks ago, but that's also not in the top 30. I guess I'll have to wait the recommended 2-6 weeks.

I started reading this book just because that's about all the time I have during my usual work day to focus on SEO for my company's sites. So far so good, I'm about 1/4 through it and it's an easy read. Hopefully I'll come away with some killer tips.

Search Engine Optimization Blog

I started this blog specifically for the purpose of documenting my career as a search engine optimization marketer. This blog will also serve the purpose of posting helpful links to the client's sites that I am optimizing. One of the first things that I have learned I need to do in order to be an affective SEO is learning to be a voracious researcher, as well as copy writer.
